Our Favorite Things
New in 2026, we are introducing a line of "Our Favorite Things"! There are certain tools that we couldn't live without on the farm, and we wanted to share them with you to use in your own home gardens! They also make great gifts for the flower lover or gardener in your life!
Our Favorite Things are available for shipping or local pickup, and they are also available in The Flower House on the weekends.
Flower Snips
Flower snips are our most-used tool around here! Made of high carbon steel and an ergonomic handle, these snips are sturdy and perfect for harvesting flowers, deadheading, trimming stems, making bouquets and arrangements, and even manicuring house plants. They're not only adorable, they're also a tool we can't live without!
Pruners
These beautiful heavy duty metal shears are great for heavier pruning. The ash wood handles fit perfectly in smaller hands and add a touch of elegance when you’re out cutting woody stems, roses, peonies, hydrangeas, dahlias, and more.
Hori Hori
This is our #1 favorite tool to use in the garden because of its durability and versatility. Originally designed to mimic the Japanese garden knife, Hori Hori roughly translates to 'dig dig.' We use this hearty multi-purpose tool for digging, weeding, transplanting, cutting roots, measuring planting depth, dividing perennials, harvesting, trimming small branches, pounding in stakes, opening bags & packages, and more! This particular Hori Hori by Barebones is our favorite one to use. It's tough and durable, and the smooth walnut handle is not only beautiful, it fits perfectly in your hand for comfort on even the longest work days. This is one tool we always have in our tool bag!
Hand Shovel
This traditional garden shovel is another versatile and highly used tool around here. Great for anyone with a green thumb, it can be used for a variety of garden tasks such as weeding, planting, and scooping. Made of stainless steel with a wood handle and leather hanging loop, it's not only functional, it's beautiful as well!
Garden Gloves
While we love to get our bare hands in the dirt whenever we can, there are plenty of tasks that require us to protect ourselves as well. These nitrile-polyester gloves are our go-to for all our daily gardening tasks from weeding and planting to managing pests and disease. They are designed to fit comfortably, allowing you to handle garden tools with ease. They're breathable and wash up easily in the washing machine. We couldn't live without these on the farm...and we also couldn't resist this beautiful earthy-green color!
