About the event
The to-do list for fall is long, and we'd love some extra hands to help get through it! Depending on the weekend and how much help we have, we could be disassembling the flower field, removing spent plants, cleaning up and organizing supplies from the flower field, digging dahlia tubers, or planting tulip bulbs.
It doesn't take much skill to be involved, just a willingness to do some physical work and get a little dirty! We will provide the necessary tools. If you have work gloves, we would recommend bringing them. Drinks and snacks will be provided.
No pressure to stay for all 3 hours, that's just the window when we will be working. Come whenever you can for as long as you can - we'll take whatever help we can get!
We are so grateful for you time and consideration, so we will be offering 5 dahlia tubers or a bundle of dried flowers in exchange for your time for every shift you volunteer for.
This is a great opportunity for students to earn volunteer hours! We're more than happy to sign volunter forms.
Thank you in advance for your help in keeping our little flower farm running! We couldn't do it without you!
***PLEASE NOTE: We will not be sending out reminders unless the weather causes us to cancel or postpone, so please mark your calendar if you sign up! We will be eagerly anticipating your arrival and will have tasks planned out according to the number of volunteers. We ask that you please send us an email if you're unable tomake it.
