About the event
Now that we've had our first frost, it's time to start cleaning up and getting ready for fall planting. This weekend we will be disassembling the flower field and would love some extra hands! We will be removing spent plants and taking apart hoops, netting, and weed fabric to get our field back down to the soil. If we have enough people, we will also be cutting back the peony field to prep the plants for winter.
It doesn't take much skill to be involved, just a willingness to do some physical work and get a little dirty! We will provide the necessary tools. If you have work gloves, we would recommend bringing them. Drinks and snacks will be provided.
No pressure to stay for all 3 hours, that's just the window when we'll be out working. Come whenever you can for as long as you can - we'll take whatever help we can get!
This is a great opportunity for students to earn volunteer hours! We're more than happy to sign volunter forms.
Thank you in advance for your help in keeping our little flower farm running! We couldn't do it without you!
